These deployments have attracted special attention from Shi Weidong, a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Vice Chairman of the Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the Jiusan Society, and a professor at Nantong University. Shi Weidong said in an interview that this year's focus is mainly on improving the employment quality of vocational college graduates under the background of industrial upgrading, and providing suggestions and recommendations for vocational college talent cultivation to meet the needs of the industry. Industrial upgrading is the core engine for high-quality development of the country. As an important skill support for advanced manufacturing and modern service industries, the employment quality of graduates from vocational colleges is directly related to the degree of adaptation of industrial upgrading, kinetic energy conversion, and talent supply. Shi Weidong believes that in recent years, Jiangsu has attached great importance to employment security for graduates from vocational colleges, and has achieved initial results in promoting the adaptation of vocational talent supply to industrial demand and deepening the integration of industry and education. However, through research, it has been found that in some regions, including Jiangsu, there are still multidimensional structural contradictions in the talent cultivation of vocational colleges, such as the adaptation of talent supply and industrial demand, and the depth of industry education integration. He suggested further optimizing the talent supply mechanism and guiding students to establish reasonable career expectations; Deepen the integration of industry and education, and promote the two-way exchange of school enterprise resources; Improve the policy support system, optimize the subsidy for skill enhancement and occupational security mechanism, so that the cultivation of vocational talents truly meets the needs of industrial development, and use talent cultivation to support high-quality development.
